It was great to have Greg at my art exhibition!  I had a chance to show him my art room and introduce him to Randell Dunn the head of Latin.
At the end of the show, I did some posing with my sisters Barbara (right) and Earlene. What a great night!

I would like to thank every one for making my art exhibition a night to remember. It was fantastic meeting new people and reuniting with old friends.  I look forward to doing it all again soon!

Me and Michael Economos from my college days.  This was my sophomore painting class that focused on photo realism.  Mike was a great teacher and a good friend.

Russell Harris Art Exhibition

It feels really great to have all 41 alla prima portraits on display at the Latin School of Chicago.  It took a year to complete all of the portraits and about 3 hours for me and my son Joshua to hang them.  The artist reception is on September 6th from 4 pm to 7 pm. I am sure it will be a great night!

"Professor Gohn"

I just completed my painting of Greg. I'm looking forward to picking out a frame for it, and sending it to the John Pence Gallery at the end of July.  It was a great experience painting my high school art teacher, and I hope to paint him again in the future.

The Schuler School of Art located in Baltimore Maryland was a great school for me to fine tune painting and drawing skills.  I will miss the teachings of Ann and Han Schuler.  I am very glad that the art legacy lives on with there grandchildren as they continue to teach at the school.

I'm very excited to pay tribute to my high school art teacher, Greg.  I've done five sittings so far and will need about fifteen more to complete the painting. Each sitting is about 6 to 8 hours.  When I'm done, I will ship off to the John Pence Gallery.

It was great to have my high school art teacher, Greg, attend a group show that I was in at the John Pence Gallery.  He flew all the way from Baltimore to hang out with me and Will Wilson.  As a teacher myself, it is a gratifying feeling to know one of your students is pursuing their passion. Thanks Greg for being a wonderful teacher and friend.

This is an early stage of my painting Genesis Of An Artist.  I am happy to have it completed, and now I can move on to the big figure painting that is in the background.  I hope to have it done sometime next year.
