Working hard to finish the first stage of my new painting. I'm looking forward to getting more paint on the canvas. I should be done with this one by the end of July.

I feel honored to have been selected for The Butler Institute Of American Art's 78th Midyear Exhibition. My painting "Genesis Of An Artist" will be among many other exceptional works of art. I look forward to attending this major and prestigious event this July.

I was excited to have my friend Barry visit me in my art studio this past weekend.  He has a great face to paint and he was a trooper sitting for three hours for my paint session.  I hope that I can come up with an idea for a larger scale painting so that I can paint him again.

Framed and ready for the John Pence Gallery

 

I'm very excited to be apart of the group exhibition at the John Pence Gallery on March 10th to April 26th. The show is called Still Life, Floral, Trompe L'Oeil and it is one of the gallery's  most popular exhibitions.  The artists reception is Thursday March 13th from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m.

I found this picture on line of my friend Will Wilson in his art studio.  The studio is above the John Pence Gallery and has great north light coming in from the sky light.

'Tim's Vermeer' Trailer (2014): Tim Jenison, Penn Jillette

I'm really looking forward to see this movie, but I still don't know were it's playing in Chicago.  This was a great idea for a film, and I commend Tim for his passion and tenacity for doing such a wonderful project. Bravo!
